Task 1c

The film ‘The Nightmare before Christmas’ is a stop motion filmed. It is often watched after Halloween towards the Christmas season. It was animated by Tim Burton who also produced it along side Denise Di Novi animated it. It had been released in 1993. In the box office it earned $50 million in the United States, it won an Annie Award for Best Individual Achievement for Artist Excellence in the Field of Animation.

In this clip you can see Jack Skellington trying to recruit trick or treaters on a mission. It’s mainly in black and white but all the Christmas based items are colourful which makes it look jolly, cheerful and fun rather then dull and boring. This also shows its something different to what they are used to because of the colours and makes it look more interesting. This animations style is humour.
I like that the colours stand out more with the Christmas items and gives it a different impact and makes it seem more like Christmas and a lot more interesting.

The film 'Despicable Me' is animated by illumination Mac Guff, it is produced by Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy. The movie came out in 2010. Despicable me earned $32.8 million and won two awards, which were Kids Choice Award for Favourite Animated Movie, it also won Woman Film Critics Circle for Best Animated Females.
In this clip it shows Gru's enemy stealing a shrink ray he had already stolen from elsewhere and then using it to shrink Gru and his two minions. It shows real commitment to his job as an evil scientist and both shouting quite hilarious remarks toward each other without either of them knowing what is being said as neither of them are in the same spaceship they are both in their individual. The main style of this animation is humour.
Positives about this animation are that it has a good storyline and is quite an interesting and funny movie.
